Webinar Description: |
Terrorist financing and proliferation financing do not behave like money laundering. The funds can be clean, the amounts small, and the transactions designed to look like ordinary commerce. Controls built only to detect criminal proceeds will miss them. This webinar equips obliged entities in Cyprus to recognize and manage these risks in practice. It covers the EU and UN framework that governs targeted financial sanctions, the preventive and customer due diligence measures firms are expected to apply, and the red flags that signal terrorist or proliferation financing. Case studies show how these schemes have used companies, professional services, and trade channels. |
|
Agenda |

- How money laundering differs from terrorist and proliferation financing
- Preventive measures and customer due diligence: what to apply, when, and to what extent
